TECHNOLOGY IN
MOTION, INC ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH
LOCKHEED MARTIN’S IPv6 TRANSITION PILOT
Pilot Program Will Simulate
Government Transition from IPv4 to IPv6
Fairfax, VA – Technology in Motion, Inc is proud to
announce its partnership with Lockheed Martin as an
Industry Vendor Partner; providing COTS and custom
application assessment, testing and validation support
services.
TIM is among Lockheed
Martin’s strategic collaboration of key industry partners
on the IPv6 transition pilot. The Lockheed Martin-led
team includes leading commercial IT vendors who will
collaborate on the IPv6 transition pilot.
Lockheed Martin will
transition a portion of its global network to Internet
Protocol version 6 (IPv6). The pilot program will
work through all phases of a full-scale IPv6 transition,
similar to one that a government agency would undertake.
IPv6 is the next-generation
Internet protocol, which provides an exponential increase
in the number of addresses available to networked
devices. For the military, IPv6 will enable global,
net-centric operations that translate an information
advantage into a decisive edge for the war fighter.
As a minority owned
small business, TIM takes pride in having the opportunity
to assist government agencies in fulfilling their
IT missions and their set aside procurement goals
as a certified 8(a) company in addition to the use
of our GSA Schedule.
“Technology in Motion
is honored to be a part of this prestigious team.
TIM is excited, eager and ready to work with our partners
to deliver quality solutions for tomorrow's network,
today,” said Paulino Pacheco, CEO, Technology in Motion,
Inc.
